I went to the jeep dealership and they said they would be happy 2 inspect my jeep, inspect it, not touch it or work on it 4 200.00. then if I wanted them to find out if anything is missing or replaced that would cost me more of course. Im goin to the law and report it today and then goin 2 see if I cant find an attorney that deals w this kind of thing.

I stand corrected on the vin tag. It does make sense it would be on the body.
Just a thought. If you have any old photos that happen to show any of the stuff that changed, that might be pretty good evidence in a small claims court.
Also photoing it all now, (the sooner the better), might make sense.

This is why I don't recommend shops to ANYONE
If you want an olde vehicle YOU BETTER know how to work on it yourself or have a REAL FRIEND help you work on it
Or only lease new cars with warranty.
period.
does suck this has to happen.... $600 is a freaking lot for all that and he didnt even do it!

There's no way this dude swapped the dash and steering column for no reason. There's no benefit to it and way more work than it's worth.
I believe OP was looking for issues and made stuff up in his head. Now he's convinced.
