Default Misfire, rough idle

2001 XJ 4.0L
About 2 weeks ago the engine light showed up, i read the code and got multiple misfire on cyl 2 and 5. Spark plugs are good and got a new ignition coil rail and that didnt fix it. Is there anything thats common. Im new to these

Little bit known to get carbon under the valves. How high do you ever rev it?

Not that high, it's auto so I don't really take any notice to be honest. Is there anything I can do to see if it is that?

You'll need spark, fuel and compression in the process, so I'd:
- check fuel pressure (45 psi +/- 5)
-check for consistent and quality of spark
- if those are good, do compression test (120-150 psi, not more than 30 psi difference between cylinders)

Where is that, is that inside the engine?

If its a distributor and spark wires ignition you might want to change all the wires. Also check the fuel injectors, the crankshaft position sensor and camshaft position sensor. It might also by an o2 sensor.

It's distributorless.
Could you be kind enough to post the tests, or links to the tests, for the 4 things you listed as possible failures?
