Default Missing leak detection pump?

Hey all, first time poster, long time lurker! My check engine light has been on in my '99 as long as I've owned it, but it's for an evap leak so I haven't worried about it. I have emissions coming up though, so it's time to get that light fixed. The code is p1494, for the leak detection pump. I went to trace the lines and see if a hose was disconnected somewhere, but if I'm not mistaken it looks like my pump is missing? Shouldn't it be where that plug is in the passenger corner? Is there a workaround that would work to pass emissions, or do I just need to buy a new LDP and install it?

Thanks in advance for any assistance!

I would normally say that you have a Federal Emissions XJ and should not have one.
But the P1494 makes me wonder.
I look at pictures of a lot of Jeeps. I see many that have one and many don't.
I assumed that is one of the parts that determines whether it is CA Emissions or Federal Emissions.
So what does the white sticker on your firewall say about Emissions?

Ok, so if I'm reading this right, it looks like it wouldn't have had one from the factory, correct?

You could reinstall the LDP and possibly have to then track emissions related issues. Or you could put all that money toward a retune that could turn off the LDP parameters at the same time.

Found this:

Looks like I might be right. Also says that in the diagram on the white sticker would show one if you had it.
Looks like all I can see is the purge solenoid so.....
Going with a vacuum leak causing the P1494 at the moment.
