Default Mopar Hitch with JCR Nutstrips...??

I just picked up a Mopar hitch (2") that was recently POR-15'd AND JCR nutstrips, all for $40. Sweet deal....

I was lining things up and it appears that only 3 bolts per side are used as the 4th one doesn't have a corresponding hole on the hitch. Is this correct? Or, should I drill holes to accommodate the 4th bolt?

What did you end up doing? I would just secure it with the 3 mounting bolts, as long as they are grade 8 you should be fine.

Actually, not much of anything yet. The weather hasn't been forgiving when I did have the time to install it. I did however, sandblast & powder coat it. Just waiting for a break in the weather now. I will install it with 3 bolts per side....

That is what I did for my gas tank skid. I removed the rear bumper and fished the bolts down the frame rails with a piece of wire. Then once they popped through I held the threads from underneath and slowly threaded the nuts on. Using lock washers I didnt have to hold the bolt head secure. For a hitch its more tricky and more than likely you will need someone to help hold the hitch while you get the bolts situated. If all else fails make/buy a nutstrip. Good luck!

That JRC nutstrip is the the best.

What a great idea!
