Just out of curiosity, I relieved the pressure from the fuel rail on one of the JY Cherokees without opening the gas cap. After a minute of holding it down, I said forget it and just walked away. When I did it on mine with the cap open, all the pressure was gone within 15 seconds. It definitely helps.

Hey guys, I've got a '94 XJ with the H.O. 4.0 I6, that has just about 155K on the original drivetrain, high flow cat, flowmaster 40, and and Airaid intake, what would be a good option for me to swap out injectors with? I also plan on installing a "performance chip" and a larger aftermarket throttle body when funds allow. Are the Neon injectors the best bet? or the Ford? If anyone could tell me what year vehicle and engine, I'd greatly appreciate it. Also, what kind of power gains can I expect to have with a better injector swap? Thanks guys

A couple tips, like was mentioned before, be sure to lube the new o-rings when you put them on. It makes the injectors way easier to get into the rail. Be sure to get any carbon build ups out of the injector holes in the intake...mine had a lot of carbon chunks around the injector nozzles that crumbled when I pulled them out. If you get your injectors from a Junkyard, be sure to take as much care when pulling them out as possible. There is a small ring on the top of the injector that hold on the top o-ring...that can be pulled off if you are careless in your removal...ask me how I know. Also remember to get the Pintle caps (or Injector Hats) when you pull the injectors. They are a small brown top-hat looking thing that get stuck in the intake of the donor car about half the time. The only place to get these aftermarket for the EV6 injectors, is E-bay, and a couple of online sources. The Chrysler dealership wants to sell you new injectors to get them... I recommend bringing a dentist pick or similar impliment with you to the yard to pull them out with.

Good luck with your swap, mine went really quickly...half hour tops. Totally worth it. Especially for the price.
