Default motor has a slight knock
New motor now has a knock and i can't figure it out any suggestions

Check your torque converter bolts if it's an auto. Make sure you have a good oil filter, not a fram.

I just had that problem check your rod berings if its more of a tapping it sounds like valves knocking sounds like rod berings

Checked the torque converter bolts. it's not them further investigation and it's coming from front of motor.

EGR Valve? Mine had its mount go bad and let it rest up against the firewall, sounding like an engine knock

Not that coming from front of motor looked up on you tube and a guy's jeep had the same noise and he said water pump in his title and sound the same as mine
