motor install help!
So I've got a 98 xj but the motor was blown and the guy put another 4.0 in it but I'm not to sure on what year it can out of.. I'm thinkin 94 but not positive. So my question is what do I gotta do to get it to work?!it seems like a few plugs match up but then others way different.. any idea? I really want to get on the trail!

You need to move the sensors from the old motor (1998 4.0) to the new one (Older HO motor). The block is the same, but the other goodies are probably different.
Do you have access to the original motor still?

Youre gunna need all the sensors, IAC, and Mass air sensor from your old motor. The new motor is an OBD1 and your old motor and your Jeep are OBD2 which is completely different. There might be more than that, but you should be fine. At least youre not trying to convert a non-H.O. motor into an H.O... I'm never doing that again lol
