Oh no there's no bolt left in the block they are stripped. If they broke I would have half a chance not to buy new brackets. Still waiting for them.

If you going with the BD mounts id see if running a tap into old holes at least gets some threads back to work with.

I know that I used to own a wrangler and was able to use a BAC (Big Crowbar) to tilt the engine while installing another motor mount. Is this not possible on XJ? My engine vibrates alot at idle so I assume I have a broken motor mount as well and was able to snag one on rock auto for 6 bucks since I was paying for shipping for something else. Do I really have to pull the engine?

One side at a time jack a 2x4 to the bottom of the block. Put mine back in in the field. 20 minutes or so. Total replacement probably an hour and not pull the motor.

Ok so sounds like I could just make sure they mounts are loose... jack it up and replace the broken mount?

Well started at 5pm this evening. Did the driver side like they said.. 30 minutes huh cool be back on the road tonight. Surprise!! Have tare the hole passenger side part. That guy on YouTube didn't mention that. Still can't get the coil bolts in. Frustrating. So I'll finish her tomorrow. I want to kick the guy who stripped all of these bolt out in the face. I have found a total of 9 bolt stripped out.

haha, ya thats what I thought too, took me 2 afternoons to get it done. granted im half cripple now so things that should take me a couple of hours takes me a day or 2. I couldnt get them to line up right on the driver side, the bolt that is coming out of the motor mount going threw the frame bracket wouldnt go into the hole! I was shocked, Im normally great at getting it in the hole, no matter how dark it is :P
I had to wait for the second afternoon because the dealer was out of one of the o rings for the oil filter adapter. $18 for 3 damn o rings..... what a rip.
Passenger side went in pretty easy though. all in all not a bad project.

Yeah; my pass side Brown Dog install took hours of struggling, and yes, then the frame mounts wouldn't line up. Just had to keep banging away at it till it went. I mean, what are the alternatives?

I had to apply a little bit of "pressure" to get everything seated as well. It was a shame to see the sexy new mounts with hammer marks on them I didnt dent them or anything, but the paint and sticker on the top of the mount def shows some wear.
