Ok I bought this 1997 XJ Sport off a guy who bought it blown up and replaced the motor with a WJ motor but didn’t finish it all the way so we’ve been putting it back together. It now has everything we can think of hooked up except the oil pressure sending unit. It will turn over and hit but won’t start we pulled a plug and grounded it and the spark was orange so we thought bad coil so I just replaced the ignition coil and it’s got a red spark now but still not blue. The timings been set on it but we still can’t figure out why it’s not hitting and running any thoughts?

 

Used the flexplate from the 97 XJ? WJ have a different part number for the flexplate, so I'm not sure they'd be compatible. Cap and rotor in good condition?
