Best is almost always a subjective term so keep that in mind.

I would say most people will say get some that are made with polyurethane but I personally don't care for how stiff they are. They cause to much vibrations and such for my liking and if its a daily driver I would just go with some OEM ones for the local parts store.

I have the Brown dog Ultra-Flex Rubber and they are great. I had a little vibe at first when I installed them, but over time they kinda broke in and I don't even have it anymore.. I would go with Brown dog he is a vendor here.

As for the trans mount I went with a new OEM.

Here is Brown dog website

A buddy of mine has the brown dogs and his whole Jeep shakes with them.No way I could handle that in my DD and even after the "break in" they are still way stiff IMO but if you off road they are great mounts.(we also had to do some grinding to get his to fit)

I love my rubber brown dogs. Wish I spring for the extra brackets.

Mine is a DD..your buddy might of torque the through bolts too tight, or they are poly or he did not loosen the bolts on the trans mount when installed or a combo of all three. I was worried I would get vibes and I did..then I called Tim and he said back off the through bolts a little until I find my sweet spot. Did what he said and boom I was happy. A little time after break in and they are sweet.

If you decide on an oem type, check Rock Auto online. 2 motor mounts and a tranny mount ( Anchor brand) are $70 at the 3 local parts places. Rock got me same exact products for $34 which included $14 two day delivery

I suppose with any vendor, there will be mixed reviews. I for one find rockauto to be a very good supplier. I've purchased many parts for all kinds of vehicles from them over the years and have not been disappointed. It's a little tough to use an online vendor when you need a part same day. But if you are planning maintenance, or if it's not a DD, they can save you $$ and deliver a great choice of products.

Wow I have never had a problem with Rockauto.Always have great prices and its at my door in like 3 days usually. As far as brand go they carry all the brands and then some so I don't see how for instance a Dana u-joint from them is bad in any way.

I love Rock Auto. OEM motor mounts at my local AZ are $18-something and I got them (same brand and part number) from RA for $8-something each.

Brown Dog mounts are awesome! They are money well spent....

If you don't want to spring for the loot, consider that aftermarket parts store mounts tend to be substandard in my experience. I used them and in a years time one had failed and really did in my APN header. A costly mistake. Keep in mind this is on a DD and no offroading........
