I had to look up 303 stainless. Before I did the exhaust I was considering a Borla muffler and tail pipe. Best I could tell it was 304 stainless.
Which best I could tell was better then the 409 the Magnaflow was. The more I thought about it the more I was like screw it.
Just buy Walker parts. In an '00 everything bolts together except the muffler to the tail pipe.
Which is why like others have I recommended I used that band clamp there instead of a traditional muffler clamp.
The Quiet Flow has a lifetime warranty. My hope, probably unrealistically, is that if I ever have to warranty the muffler using
the band clamp maybe I can separate the muffler from tail pipe easier.

Okay, 303 is basically a free machining version of 304 and the one I am most familiar with. 304 is a bastard to machine, but is actually better in respect to corrosion. 303 is used primarily for small intricate parts, nuts and bolts, etc whereas 304 can be made in sheets and welded where 303 can't. All stainless are iron based and will corrode in different ways, however their chromium and nickel content reduces that for the most part. That's about all I remember about their metallurgy.

Personally I wouldn't.
But if I had guess involves cutting the down pipe, the one in front of the cat, hoping they slip on each other, are the proper length so the whole exhaust falls
about where it should, and some muffler clamps.
Or cutting and welding maybe.

The universal one doesn't have the correct flange to bolt up to the pipe from the header. Save yourself the aggravation and get the direct fit one.
