Multiple Electrical Issues, possibly related
Hey Guys, could use some help with this one otherwise might have to retire this old girl
1989 Jeep Cherokee, 4.0 289000 original miles, original engine
Wipers do not work
Blinkers do not work
Radio does not work
Heater Fan does not work
Rear window wiper and pump does not work
The Heater itself works as that is mechanical, just no fan
Fuses are physically intact and not blown, checked for electrical current going through these fuses but found none. Problem was getting progressively worse to the point if I would jiggle the key in the ignition while driving it would fix the problem most of the time, so I changed the ignition lock cylinder, made no difference, the ACC setting on the ignition lock cylinder clicks in but does not activate anything.
Engine starts perfectly, alternator is charging, headlights, taillights, stoplights and reversing lights work perfectly, Instrument/ Dash lighting and interior dome lighting works.
Any help would be greatly appreciated

a large percentage of electrical problems are caused by faulty ground wires. I just finished replacing chassis ground battery ground engine block ground and only had a High voltage output at the alternator. But thought I might as well go ahead and do it - didn't take that long. I've yet to find out if it's solved the alternator problem since I've been working on this thing for weeks and not driven it But will find out soon. Corrosion had crept up inside the major wires from the battery.

Renix has many groundign issues and if you read the #1 post in the link in my signature, that will get you started on remedying that problem.
But, it sounds as if the big brown wire at the ignition switch has burned or the switch itself has failed.
