Ok here is today's progress.
Me getting front end out.
Got front end and steering in.
All i gotta do now is install drivelines (plural, because i have two now, OH Yeah), tranny dipstick, lengthen speedometer wires, replace tranny filter, and finally glue 4x4 pieces on.
If you guys can think of anything else, let me know.
Btw, i started her up and she is purring.

haha, wow. I was the first one I've ever heard of makin a 93 2wd into a 4x4. Mine originally had an AX-5, and I got my hands on a mint AX-15. I like the stick-box, so I stuck to it. It's alot of work but definately worth it in the long run.

DISASTER!!!!!!!!!
Not a crime scene.
Heres what happened.
I finally finished. Got brakes on, got tires on, filled tranny with fluid started her up. Put her into drive, and nothing. only if i stepped on the gas a little, the jeep would lurch forward. like the emergency brake was on. but it wasn't. i was pumping the brakes, cause they were going to the floor. they need to be bled for air. maybe that was why it wasn't going. I dunno. (keep in mind, i grabbed this tranny/tcase from the junkyard, no guarantees it works).
Then i heard splurting, when i looked, it was tranny fluid going everywhere. It was coming out of the connection that leads to the radiator.
So, no success yet :

ROFL
Yeah it is quick connect. I couldn't get it to latch in, i thought i had it, but i guess not. so i need to unthread that nut it connects into, connect it and then thread it back on.
Thats the way i did the other line.
I wouldve done it that way, but all i had that would fit a nut that big was a wrench, and its in a tight spot. So ill need to borrow a socket from work.
No biggie.
I was just more worried about when i put her into drive, she didn't want to go. Prob cause of the leak, hopefully.

Well, first off, i ride the short bus.
I had the wrong rotors on, and it was putting the rotating parts in a bind, so she would only lurch forward after a high enough rev to break the friction.
I forget that when i go to autozone i have to take into consideration that i have a 87 4wd 4.0 xj front end. And i have to purchase accordingly. So that was fixed.
And my tranny leak, well I borrowed a 7/8" socket from work, got the nut off, noticed it had a bad o-ring
As
had said.
So i pulled the old nut, with a good o-ring, and problem over with.
NOT, i started her up again, and that line is split Right On, i said.
Tranny fluid, drip, drip, drippin. No big deal. I grabbed the same line from the junkyard. Ill swap her out, tomorrow.
So she starts, she goes into drive, she goes into 4wd. Did i just convert my xj into a 4wd?????
Is it time for?
time for the badges? as thelaststarfighter13 put it
Is there cooler spots to put the 4x4 badges, besides the traditional rear sides?
