Default My brake light is on (the e-brake one)

And the ebrake is not engaged. Im thinking its a bad switch. But i am not 100% sure. Is the brake light also used for a bad brake system on these?

Oh, and its a 1992 jeep cherokee sport.

thanks

I've seen this happen when either two things have happened. Extremely low brake fluid in the resov. Or bad brake switch. Check them out and let us know

Also, low brake fluid can be caused by bad brake pads/rotors or shoes/drums. So, check out your brakes to see if they need to be replaced.

any lift??? if you lift it without adjusting the tension strap in the tunnel.... sometimes (takes more than a 3" lift) when your suspension drops it will engage the e-brake a little bit and it will stick
