Agreed, sometimes new people get on and do the bare minimum with their info just so they can ask the question they need to, and then forget to add all the good info we like to see, or else they don't care to do it because they know they will never use the forum enough to matter. Like me and the Camaro, LS1, or Chevrolet forums. I've had a Camaro SS for a few years now but I can't tell you the last time I used one of the forums for it.... Nor do I even remember my handle or passwords to log in. And I would be willing to bet my info isn't filled in there hahahaha...

It would help if the OP was actually able to communicate coherently, but the way I read him the tail lights are not coming on with the headlight switch but the brake lights do work. Again, two different circuits same bulb.
yeah that's what I was getting out of it when I reread the post.... I think the OP means he's not getting tail-lights.... and misspoke about brake lights..
That being said... first thing I would try as it's cheap as.... is a replacement bulb... see if the tail-light element is just burned out. Normally on mine the brake light element usually goes out first because I don't do a lot of night driving with my XJ...but if their driving schedule is opposite... could easily be the issue...
