Default My Jeep keeps draining battery overnight

I charged up my Jeep cherokee yesterday because I had left the keys in the ignition turned on and the battery drained, I wasn’t surprised that that was the reason for a drain. After I jumped it I left it running for around 10-15 minutes then drove it around for 5 minutes. Turned it off then later turned it on to go back home to my friends house and it started no problem. Today I was gonna take my dogs for a walk and it didn’t start at all. Why is it draining so bad?

Have the battery checked first. With recent temps it will kill a weak battery.
If the battery is good, then you have to start testing circuits for draw while vehicle is turned off.
Couple of different ways to do that, but get the battery checked first.

you can test for current draw by removing + terminal and placing a multimeter or test light between battery post and terminal..current should be ~30ma..or NOT light the globe filament

any battery that will not hold 12.5V is a dud

a load test is needed to be sure, any lead-acid battery over 3yrs old is suspect

Yes to this. I suspected the battery in my WJ so had it tested. It pulled good amps for about 20 seconds, then dropped off pretty quickly. It was only 2 years old so I got a new one pro-rated.

Still might want to check your wiring. Clean some terminals. Clean some groundz. It's free...
