My wiring harness burned up in my 88 xj
Hey guys, so the engine bay wiring harness in my 88 xj caught fire and I need a new one. My question is should I pull it out and replace the wires that melted or find a new harness? The wires that melted were the ones along the fuel rail all the way to the type c101 connector and some other wires that were next to those ones in the passenger side of the vehicle. Thanks in advance

I think it would be better to replace the harness if you can find a good one . I would check the harness before installing it , open it up and check it and then you can recover it and tape up so that it is protected and in hot spots maybe add in something for that to .

Probably not gonna find one.....
Solder and shrink tube. Eliminate C101 while you're at it.
That harness tended to chafe at the driver side rear head bolt.

What part of the harness do you need , is it the engine harness or the complete under hood wiring ?
