I locked mine up camping once. I took the antenna off and bent it the way I needed it. I pulled the door away from the seal at the top and kept trying till I hit the power door switch. Took me about 15 mins but It worked. Then I bent the antenna back straight {somehow got lucky} and put it back on. This was a 99 XJ

Not to make fun of a sh!tty situation... but some of the replies here are great LOL Got me laughing pretty hard. A coat hanger will work but a slim jim will work better... there pretty cheap. This is why I always carry a spare key in my wallet!

Bring the VIN # and your DL to your local Jeep dealer, they will cut you a new key for $10. They may want some proof you own the truck.

Here's another tip!
If you have vent windows, grab the rubber surrounding them, and pull as hard as you can, it will come off all the way around the window, Knocking the window loose so you can unlock it..
wing windows at a Pick-a-part are about $5 alot cheaper and only a minor flaw to fix after your on the road again..

i'm a towtruck driver, and that link posted has the right idea.
i use my air wedge and long bar for almost everything. easiest thing to do is hit the power lock button.
even tho i have the full kit with all the right tools, and even a book with pictures showing me where the lock rods are for every vehicle available in canada.
but i still long bar everything. it's just so easy. however, xj's and tj's are not long bar types, i use a t-19 tool which goes in the window/door and hooks around the lock rod. T-3 is the same, just a bit shorter.

I would call a locksmith. (Bite the bullet, Pay the guy) After it's open, and shutting off the alarm with the key in the door. Go and have a key made, keep in in your wallet. Happened only the once for me to learn.
