Name THAT Noise!
Jeep just started making this noise.
I've never heard anything like this before in my life. Doesn't do it when the jeep isn't moving. Only when the jeeps at low speeds up until like 20MPH then it goes away (Or maybe i just can't hear it.)
I think the cat is toasted. Any other ideas?

sounds like something scraping the dust shield of one of your brakes. It sounds more like a wheel area issue, not a cat. If your cat was vibrating metal, it wouldn't speed up and down with rotation ... it would just get louder

I've never owned or worked on a car with ABS. I wonder if it might have a sensor that could make a noise. Or yea, just something rubbing like a rock or dust shield.

Here is an idea, pull the wheels and drums off and take a look. An ABS sensor does not make noise, it has no moving parts.

it could also be a u joint. I had a sound like this when one of mine was going out. But then again, it does sound like it goes along with tire rotation like everyone else is saying, so time to pull some tires and check your breaks out

Jack it up, pull all 4 wheels and let her spin. Poke around and find out where it's coming from. I recently had a noise like this on my trial run...(jeep had not been driven since I owned it) ended up being my main brake line running to the rear rubbing the front shaft. Crazy. Glad I caught it before it rubbed thru.

The only way you're gonna find what you're looking for is to GO LOOK!
Around the Jeep that is. In these parts, we call it "noggin pokin".
That's where you use your God given senses to inspect YOUR Jeep for problems. We can only provide you with guidance as to where to poke your noggin.
There's no Silver Bullet cure you're gonna find from a keyboard, mouse and monitor.

Can't watch the video in my phone with out wifi, loads to slow, but with out hearing it and knowing it's coming from the rear it could possibly be rear diff howl from bad bearings maybe?

It could be a dust shield rubbing on the rotor. It could be a worn out brake pad rubbing on the rotor. It could be a piece of rear brake hardware floating around in the drum. It could be a stick rubbing on the drive shaft. It could be anything, so go out and take a look for crying out loud!
