Default Need help with cherokee brake pads

Hey guys need some help real quick, I was given some brand new Xj brake pads for free but since I dont know what year they are for, I am not sure if they will fit my cherokee. I am taking it in tomorrow to have a Limited slip diff installed and figured I would have them swap out the pads at the same time but I want to make sure they will fit so I dont look like a idiot. My XJ is a '86.

If there's a part number on the box, you could go on Napa's website and look it up. Should tell you what vehicles they're for.

Oh, okay. There's a box in the picture, so I assumed you did. Try looking on their website at pads for your Jeep and compare them to those ones.

Theres only one way to find out for sure. Compare the used with the new. Thats why I do the work myself.

Those look right for an 86 xj. I just checked ebay and they all look like that for an 86. They have the slots in both ends and no clip or claw attached to the back. The newer ones have a slot only on one end with a finger on the other and have the clip or claw riveted to the back to hold it in the caliper cylinder and caliper. I dont know what year they changed the caliper design.
