And you should be. Not everyone is as lucky as you.

Test your coolant concentrations folks................

A cheap 5 ball hydrometer at a parts store will set you back about $3.00

A better one is about $10.00

Should be in everybody's tool box.

Luckily, block, head, core plugs, (they're NOT freeze plugs!! lol) everything was good. Put a 65/35 in there and havent had a problem.

Oh, and if ya'll get the chance, and your heat isn't blowing hot, take your heater core hoses off, and in the outlet hose, (the smaller and lower one), blow it out with shop air.

Had what looked like a nest of leaves come out of mine last night when doin my coolant in school.
they ARE freeze plugs. if they don't function that way, they're old as ***** and corroded in.

OP...if you're lucky, your freeze plugs popped out.

Core plugs are there from when the blocks are cast. NOT to pop out during a freeze up. That's just a bonus.

there are 5 freeze plugs on the passenger side of the block, one on the back of the head, one on the back of the block, and they put one more on the back of the block to cap off the cam shaft.

those are all freeze plugs.

that is where they locate block heaters, and freeze plugs pop out real easy.

took two taps of a hammer.
