Default Need help. Dont know what part this is

So i changed my oil. When i started the jeep it felt like it was getting enough air, not sure if thats the case. after checking under the hood i found this switch looking thing which is right above the oil filter to the right (towards driver side)

not sure if its the oil filter switch, leak detection pump or something else, but its broken and needs to be replaced. when i push the pieces together the jeep runs cause its a champ but it still needs to be replaced, just dont know what it is, any help would be appreciated

i might have accidentally broken the part while trying to remove the old oil filter (that sucker was on WAY to tight)
