if it feels like its trying to move in 4th gear then the tcu which is located under the dash on the passenger side may have gone bad or thers no power going to the tcu.

How did the fluid that came out when you changed it look? If it was super dirty and nasty, changing it is probably what screwed the trans. If you let an automatic go for too long, when you change the fluid it frees up a lot of gunk that used to be stuck somewhere in the trans. Then that gunk flows through it and a trans that used to work will suddenly die.

X 2. Manually put your shifter into 1-2 and if your Jeep takes off normally, then select 3, then select OD. If it shifts through all of the forward gears like normal, manually, then, your TCU is either fried or not getting it's 12VDC to turn it on. The good news is if this is the case you can either fix a simple wire for nothing or you can pick a TCU up from a Jeep in a JY for a few bucks rather than replacing your whole transmission for MANY bucks.
