The a/c system is no big deal, it's removing the dash that's a hassle. One really should replace both the evap and heater core together, while the dash is out.

Why PM instructions? Why the big secret? Why not post it here for everyone's benefit?
I'll be tackling this job eventually. My heater is barely leaking and it may have stopped since I redid my cooling system, but I know it needs replaced. My A/C is shot, so the evap core will be replaced when I do this too.
Anyone who's done it, post your tips or gotcha's on this job. One question specifically in my mind is do I have to drain all the coolant for this, or just the heater hoses? Another, how difficult or careful do you have to be around that passenger airbag?

it was sent to me via pm so i figured the original poster didnt want it so available and also it was copied pages of a service manual, and i think that violates forum policy so theres the answer, besides it wont copy paste and the links dont work so if you follow the other stuff i posted you should be ok
no the coolant dosent dosent need to be drained and no issues with the airbag unhook the battery prior to starting just some time consuming work, i took out my radio and heater controls although i dont think its totally nessessary. you will find it much easier to remove both seats though as it makes lying on youre back to unhook the wiring under the dash on the drivers side soooo much easier
my biggest hassle was getting those tools that disconnect the a/c lines to work, that and reinstalling those same lines and getting them to click and lock back into place

'ol blue will pm the directions to you.....remember to disconnect the battery for at least 30 minutes before starting to take apart the dash. That will give time for the airbag capacitors to discharge. I will also be doing this next week/weekend. I ordered the parts from amazon - 109.45 for both heater and evaporator cores.
