How did you bleed the brakes?

Did you have someone pump the brakes while you open and closed the bleeder? I have tried it this way but have better luck connecting a piece of hose to the bleeder and putting it in a small cup of brake fluid. I leave the bleeder open and pump the brakes. It will eventually push the air out and will have no choice but to suck fluid back in when you let off.

And as already confirmed the rubber brakes hoses can collapse.

I bleed my brakes like prerunner1982 does and as stated before... 1. How did you bleed the brakes? 2. Did you connect them back togethor properly?

I typically only bleed the front when I do pads/rotors, but seeing as how you replaced the calipers there is a good change air backed up to the proportioning valve and could have been pushed into the rear brake lines as well. Also if you have ABS I have had problems bleeding them as well.

I have had better luck bleeding them with the cup of fluid over the open and close with a wrench method. They make kits to bleed them like that, but I made my own. I always thought I was doing a good job in the past but come to realize my reaction time was too slow.

keep bleeding them.... rear pass., rear driver, front pass, front driver. Put tubing over bleeder screw other end in bottle or cup or brake fluid. Open bleeder press down close bleeder let off pedal. If you let the reservoir run dry your gonna have tons of air in there, keep trying if that doesnt work you might have another problem.

first, make sure the calipers are on the correct sides.
the bleeder nut has to be above the brake line.

don't worry, common mistake.

I did the same thing on a mustang I used to own. I got for $300 for that mistake once.

Definitely a common mistake, no shame in it.
