need help with sway bar quick disconnects

Default need help with sway bar quick disconnects

i have a a set of sway bar quick disconnects from rubicon express and i lost one of the bolts, i was wondering if i could use any bolt to replace that, i would rather find out first before installing them back on and tearing something up, thanks again

Bolts are bolts. Go to the hardware store and buy something that fits. Get grade 8 if you are worried, but there really isn't that much stress on swaybar stuff.

I would think it would be fine to use any bolt. The problem with replacing bolts that are lost or cross-threaded is that most ppl use a softer metal rather than harder.. So find a Grade8 and call it good.

The only reason to order one from rubicon would be to be able to claim warranty.. as cheap as they are.. if you break em.. replace em.. but not for just a bolt.. as above, grade8 the right size to keep it from rattling and your good.

BTW.. I have JKS.. can you take a pic of the rubicon and post it?

Just take another one like it down to the hardware store and say: "I want one of these".
