I need to replace my heater core in my '96 XJ. Is there any way to replace it without taking the whole dash out?

Couldn't a 96 be either the earlier style OR the later style dash?
If early, no dash removal required.

Oh, right. Transition year. I didn't realize that included something as major as the dashboard.

Proelio, time for some pictures!

Here's hoping it's true. Not that my '96 needs one (DOM 8/26/96).

Sorry for not providing pics, but I just took some for you so you can see what im working with.

This is my whole dash, please excuse how dirty my interior is.

This is old girl herself, she's pretty dirty and banged up but shes usually pretty reliable

I strongly advise you to download the '95 Factory service manual from Cruisers website, (the guy who answered on this thread) if it is still there, 96 is same as 95 (in your case)
