I had a cracked tailgate (don't ask how) on a '93 XJ and found a nice one on CL in the same color but from a newer model with a center brake light and window defroster (old one had no defroster). I used the wiring harness from the old tailgate since it had the speaker wires and found that my old harness had the wiring plugs for the defroster which I hooked up. I had to tap in wiring for the brake light but found an unused wire through the harness to use for that.

Now I would like to hook up a switch for the defroster. Can anyone tell me where to look under the dash for a plug and where on the dash the factory would put the switch? I'm guessing I'm going to need a relay too, right? Where does that go? Anything else? Any pics of a factory install would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Ok, I found an old thread which confirmed that there is a relay. Where is the relay supposed to be on a '93? It's not in the box under hood with the other relays. I did find some switches on EBay too. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
