needing help
I have a 92 xj.
I can run it an hour and it shuts down I have changed the fuel pump and ignition coil and it still does it does anyone have any other ideas what it could be?
Thanks
Thanks for the advice folks I believe the pickup coil or the cam position sensor was the problem.

More information on how it acts when it quits would help too. Lots of things could make it quit.....like crankshaft position sensor (CPS), automatic shut down relay ( ASD). and camshaft position sensor (CPS) which is in the distributor. The power train control module too, it controls the ignition system.

Sparks plugs and wires are less than 6 months old. No overheating. Fuel pump and fuel filter was replaced yesterday. It starts up with no problems and runs fine until it quits like I have turned it off.

Got a heavy keychain? It can lead to ignition cylinder failure. I'm running out of ideas. Water in the fuel line? Illuminati?
