Default Never Seen This Before. (Carnage Pics Inside)

Jeep died on the way to work today driving on the freeway. Got it towed home and was giving it the once over after work and found this carnage.

i'd be changing the coil right away.

hope the cam sensor didn't take a hit also.

that makes my butt clench. now i have to check mine tommorow. I have the grey champion kit.

that is clearly a flux capacitor malfunction

I've never seen that in my 25 years of slinging wrenches.I would blame a parts failure that caused an excessive gap and then cause a huge KV spike. I don't think the coil is to blame, I think it was a defective cap or rotor.

agreed replace cap an and shut the hood
