new 4.5 lift last night, new wobble

Kyle...I luv ya dearly...But we really need to drop SYE from the list of fixes. Its $500 to put one on with a new shaft. HackNTap maybe $75-100 but you still need that shaft bringing it up to a cool $300.
If people would just spend a few minutes and measure the angles properly, they could get their lift correct and not waste money if not needed.
I did 7" lift on a 242 without any vibs. No sye at all. I didn't go SYE until 8" long arm. And that was for 2 reasons. I needed a longer shaft anyways because of the extended droop of the rear. Also I got a 231 sye case CHEAP. $350 and the SYE was already installed.
I honestly wish people would measure once, twice, THREE times the charm and make sure their angles are proper. They will save thousands of dollars in the long run.

Cheapest on the web that i could find
Look around junkyards or online for a front xj driveshaft and bolt that in back there. It shouldn't cost more than $250 total to do the sye/driveshaft mod

I went out at lunch and looked at the angle and according to the web site that was given 4xshaft it looks like with the TC drop and shims I am to flat. I was gonna take the TC drop off anyway to fit my engine skid. So we shall see.

Cool. I just installed the same skid. Got it used and never installed too. Check out my install thread so you can see what goes on.

What do you mean by a "good one"? If by bad you mean HnT, some of us are limited to the HnT because of our TCases so we dont have much option. Also I know people running 35's locked with the HnT and they have yet to have problems, so I dont question its strength.

Yeah us with NP242 t-case is limited pretty much to HnT as far as I know..but we also have the advantage at least on the older XJ's is less driveline vibe issues on the 242...

Just totaled up the price from the link that muddeprived posted and to my door is $187.84 which doesn't seem bad. Will a HnT run less than this?
