Default new body work :D custom flares

well, as some of u may know a week or two ago the NE got slammed with a snow storm from hell, i was having entirely too much fun in it. well the trail i was on crossed a road, and as i went to cross it i realized i switched off onto the wrong trail somewhere and found myself looking at a drop off, so i went down the road to the crossing i thought i was supposed to be at. when i tried tuning off onto it i had to go over a snowbank... instead of finding my trail i found a gaurdrail...

the light still works, it's now just pointed in the wrong direction. the hood is good, but i have more reason to do a newer xj clip swap and get a real bumper. and in my aggrivation toward my lack of light which could have aided in this incodent, i bought 8 walmart lights. intent of four on roof rack (front bar, outters being far enough out to turn sideways when desired), two on front bumper, and two on rear rack bar. also execting to order a 4.5" on the 15th.

tires im thinking 33s or 35s being some type of MTs (most likely interco's), have to do some more research. as for bumper i havnt found one i like yet, but theres an xj belonging to an nco in my unit with a sexy xj with a 6" lift on 36.5 iroks (that his wife personally built for him while we were in iraq). he has a bumper that i like alot from quadratec. i dont want the exact same thing b/c he has it, but would like to find something similar.

if you had a pic of the bumper I could probably tell you what one it is. Otherwise if you have any questions about your build please feel free to ask.

phew those ARB's are quite a bit of money and also heavy. you could check out some JCR stuff or an OR fab tube bumper if you havent yet.

Sorry to see your jeep busted up, hope you can make the best of it. I couldn't find a bumper that I liked so I just built my own. Watch that the bumper you choice don't kill your aproach angle and the weight. I built mine kind of low profile so it wouldn't look to big for my jeep.

i found a super cheap solution, that i can do myself in one night. i picked up another stock bumper, thinking about cutting it open, welding in a piece of tubing, welding the bumper back together with angled ends and patch panels. think thatll work? its definitly a low cost and effective route. but what size box tube would be strong enough to handle a mediocre blow? was thinking 2x3?

Like your home-fab..........Looks light enough, but heavy enough.....if that makes sense.
Those ARBs look like a bull dozer. .I like the Rusty's too, and they'er cheaper.
