Is it a constant rubbing or like a skipping? I did my breaks had my drums turned and they rubbed and made a knocking sound around 5-0 mph upon deceleration. New drums fixed the problem. Hope you didnt get your shoes from auto zone. They get things wrong more often than not. compare the holes where the springs mount very carefully. I was given shoes identical to stock but the holes didn't exactly match. Took them back and got the right ones somewhere else.

Got them from O'Reilly. It's constant like the brakes are applied. It was a btch to get the drum back on.

On my way home from work this morning I did notice when getting close to a stop they sounded like more of a skipping sound. I would think New drums would have more material making them be even tighter.

Try getting them resurfaced, maybe taking that lip off will fix it. Or you might find the drums are too thin and need replacing

This should allow drums to turn freely and it allows debri and water to run out so brake will not grind it into shoes/drum. Or buy new drums most likely there worn down to a point resurfaceing will take off to much to be safe.

If your drums are out of round nothing will fix it other than replacing the drums.

Warped drums will give feed back thru pedal rise and fall sensation.
