in CA, if they are below the regular headlights they are considered driving lights. anything above and they need to be covered. i think that brush guard needs a couple lights to assist in night rescues.

Idk what my regulations are about them being above or below the headlights as far as regulations go. most everything that will be above my stock headlights will be above 55w and not street legal anyways. I'd be more than happy with upgraded stocker lights, a set of 55w driving lights and some decent fogs, anything else is way overkill for the street.

Thats not entirely true. It varies from state to state. I live in Virginia and I looked up the laws for my state. My first pair(eventually I'll go up to 3 pairs ) are and will remain 55w bulbs which are 100% legal to run on the streets without covers. I can even legally turn them on while on the street without getting a ticket(you just treat them like brights)

Is that a Westin?
I had the exact one, but it was Stainless Steel, costed a pretty penny.
Anyways, I let my brother drive it and he went 60-70 into the back of a minivan.
Anyways, My bumper was destroyed, the guard was twisted, almost no other body damage.
Lets just say the van was like a smashed coke can :P At the cost of almost a thousand dollars though I miss my guard.
Their strong.

i live in va and researching laws and stuff to buy to lift my truck and ran across this and yes i know its an old post but just in-case someone wanted to take his word and not look into the laws themselves, Virginia state laws states that no more than four lights , not including tail lights and brakes lights can be lit at the same time. this also doesnt include interior or lights rated less than 15 candle power. and the only lights other than headlights and fog lights and the 15 candle power or less that can be lit while on a va road are lights that the manufacture has installed on the car/suv.

Try quadratec's website. I've just purchased an xj and have been looking and making a list. The closest thing I've found is on their website http://www.quadratec.com/default_cherokee.php

I did some quick research on the net and could not find this grille guard. There are a bunch out there...but none that look like this one. Where did you get it?

Hey I know this is an old thread but I just picked up a brush guard that looks exactly the same as this and was wondering which holes on the frame it mounts to.
