Default New Bumper now clanking from Drivers Front

Installed a new bumper this weekend and now when I turn the wheel hard right or make a right @ speed the there is an audible clank in the left front end that I can feel in the steering. Any thoughts?
  1. I did have to take ot the steering box bolts to install the bumper.
  2. Also now it feels like the crossbar for the quick disconnects is loose. Could this be from the added weight of the bumper?

It is a nice looking bumper! I would go back and check any and everything that you touched in the install of the bumper. As for the crossbar for the disconnects being loose, I'm not sure what you are asking, what crossbar? The only disconnects I know of would be for the sway bar. I guess the easiest way to find this out would be to just jack up the bumper enough to take the weight off the suspension and check it out.
By the way what does that bumper weigh?

Yep meant sway bar. Rainy Monday here= slow brain. I think she weighs in at 75lbs or so.

Ok, 75 lbs is a bit on the front of a Cherokee, is there any chance that the steering stabilizer is able to just barely hit something on the bumper mount when you turn? Have you gotten under your rig and had someone turn the steering so you could see if you could spot a problem? If not, that is the first thing I would do.
