I picked up a 87 2 door pioneer with a 4.0l 5 speed manual. I ordered a 6.5in rc lift with the intent of upgrading it to the long arm lift in the future. Only thing is im not sure wat trans i have ive looked around on the trans and cant seem to find anything. And i also want to get a sye and l longer driveshaft before i install the lift and not sure if i have a N231 tc. Could anyone help?

You need to crawl under it on the drivers side. It should tell on the side. Otherwise go to jeeps website and email them your vin. They will send back the build sheet on your jeep.

Someone must of converted it over because they didnt start putting the ax15's behind the 4.0's until late 89'. Why is the suspension lift not compatible with yours trans??
