Default New Exhaust System

Hey guys, Was looking to upgrade my stock exhaust system on my 2000 jeep cherokee v6 4.0L. Looking for something with a deeper sound. Any suggestions? Nothing too expensive, but something worth the money.

thanks mike

i have a dynomax system on mine, just running the aluminum muffler not a stainless version, I always ran dynomax on my VW's and brought it over to the jeep. i think i got a video of the sound cause someone on another jeep website wanted to see what it sounded like, going to look for the link now.

this may sound stupid, but do i need to change my cat in order to get a deeper sound or can i just buy the cat-back setups?

its not all i could afford, and its not a glasspack. dynomax makes decent stuff. i think i got just the muffler for around 70 or something. i used to put the stainless dynomax's on my vw's, so about affording it, those kits for wee little vw's or the 80s ran over 300.... anyway we will get this back on topic now but just had to chime in that

On my 99 dd I just took out the muffler and it sounds just like the magna flow cat backs I have herd. I was nerves thought it would be to loud but its not at all. Just a nice deep sound. I did run a dyno max on my 95 at first and didn't like it at all. Sounded to much like a ricer for me. But with my 99 I get compliments on it all the time. And live in Lake Geneva WI and they are crazy about giving out tickits like candy and I haven't go one yet. A muffler shop can make the tube and bend it cost me $14 I welded one side and got a stainless band clamp from Napa for $11. You could use on each side but I'm cheep LOL But $25-$36 for something that sounds that good and is still seemingly legal cant beat it. If any one Is a local to WI and they want to hear it send me a pm and I'll show you its that nice!
