I've "slapped in a new set" a couple time s just cuz I had the pan off. Once when journal/insert clearance tested OK, in spec. OK, a bit or work, and something could go wrong, but for the money to have that good is pretty nice. The crank itself will wear where the rod pushes on firing. Out of round at all isn't good on the crank there where the push happens. Anyway, if I wanted mine to work I'd check, unless I thought it was good, or new.

Allot easier to check a few if there wasn't that deal running the length of it.

Of course, this being an open forum I could post this wrong, and hope someone will pipe up. I want to say 1/2 a thousandth, out of round, and over 2-1/2, three, well worn, 3-1/2, 4+, for clearance, count your days..
