New XJ, Couple of Questions
Hello, I have recently purchased a 95 Jeep Cherokee Sport and I had a couple of quick questions I was unable to find on the forum from searching.
Airbag/Steering Wheel/Cruise Control:
-The Jeep was in an accident that messed up the front fender and header panel, no big deal except for the fact that the airbag deployed. The OP decided to duct tape the opening closed and he didn't replace the airbag. Also, the steering wheel is misaligned and at about 2:30. My car also came with a working cruise control (Which I absolutely would like to keep)
Would I be able to replace the whole steering wheel (with the mechanical airbag) and still have a working cruise control and horn? What year would i be looking for 95-96 only? (With factory cruise control)
I have also heard that you also must replace the clock spring if the airbag is deployed, is this true of the 95 model?
Instrument Cluster/ HVAC Lights
Did the HVAC box thingy, cigarette light, and the actual headlight/interior light control (The small logo above it that is) come with lights that dims like the other gauges on a 95? (I assume that they did but I wanted to verify before I went about removing the dash)
Are they bulbs special? Would the local parts store carry them?
Thank you for all the help.

First of all you probably won't be able to find a steering wheel with a good air bag unless you get one from someone that will sell one from a parts car. I would just replace the center section of the wheel and forget about the airbag. All the lights on the dash dim. You can pick the bulbs up at any parts store but they are like 7 bucks for two. Go to the junk yard find the cover for your wheel and pull a bunch of bulbs from a wrecked one.

Hmmm. That does make sense. I think I would have a hard time finding one with an airbag anddd crusie control and its a 95-96. And by cover, do you mean the airbag cover correct?
And I will defintely snag some bulbs while im over there
Thanks.
