Default Newbie lift question.....how the crap?

What does it take to go up from a 3.5" Rough Country lift? I have new springs, shocks, add-a-leaf, stabilizer and bump stops. What do I need to go up to a 4.5 or 5" lift. I know I need short arms and brake lines, but what else? Is there a build thread? Thanks guys.

your gunna need different drive lines that are extended. and a lowered pitman arm. and if you dont have an adjustable panhard bar you will need to get a longer one or an adjustable one.

why would you need longer drive lines? you can use a stock front shaft for the rear....... also at that height you dont need a drop pitman arm

Thanks, that helps allot. So really the only thing I can keep from my existing lift is the stabilizer.

a stabilizer is like a band aid. a well built rig with appropriate alignment doesnt need a stabilizer.

you could use coil spacers in the front for added lift and keep your stock coils.

he doesnt need to lengthen his drive lines. SYE and stock front shaft for the rear. the front shaft is more then long enough for 4.5-5" lift
