I don't know if you read the post of 3 Jan 2010 . (thanks Frank Z and Defiance 665 for the replies.) But the long story made short. After poking, checking obvious things such as fuses relays and connectors ,I gave up and towed it to a mechanics shop where they said they could fix it in no time.( 31 Dec.) Well they said they were stumped.(2 Jan.) Well today they found the problem. The crankshaft position sensor was shorted to ground. This apparently causes the no bus problem. They disconnected the sensor and the no bus went away. The sensor was replaced and she cranked right up. Now the p.c.m. is complaining it wants to go to the dealership for reprogramming . ( Can you tell it has DAIMLER in the engineering. It is like my old boss's Mercedes ,it would drive itself to the dealership to extract growths from his bank. (by the way the Haynes manual I have is 1984 thru 2000, real specific. And how do you get smiles to post?)
