Default No gauge lights

Both my gauges and my hvac lights are out. First thought was a fuse but the owners manual fuse layout did not show one for gauges. Am I missing something or is it ran as another name?

Not trying to be a smart azz but .....

You do know there is a DIMMER SWITCH and to TURN the **** to turn up the brightness for those lights.

Trust me, there has been a new Jeep drive or two who came to me and said .....

" Dad, there are no gauge lights on the 95 XJ ! "

Understandable. Should of been more clear. I did try that first. The **** still turns the overhead lights on but no control over the gauge lights.

Default IOD Fuse

Hey

Have you checked the IOD fuse under the hood?
My gauges and radio stopped working and this fuse was the problem

It's a 15A fuse located under the hood in the power distribution center on the passenger side.
Check out this diagram I found - it's on the far right here on the 3rd post

My gauges and radio both work. It's just the lights that don't work on the gauges and heater and ac control.

I had exactly the same issue it was a 5 amp fuse in the footwell fuse box position 6 on my 97 sport, instrument dimmer switch fuse.

Thank you. That was it, my fault though. Wired in a cb and took that one out. Forgot to replace it.
