Default No Headlights Post New Ignition cylinder install

I recently picked up a 1996 Cherokee in a trade, overall a clean looking vehicle. I just replaced the ignition cylinder due to losing the ignition key and after installation I no longer have headlights. Ive looked online for the headlight fuse location and am unsuccessful in locating it to see if it is even a fuse related issue. This is my first Xj I've ever owned so Im not too familiar with them just looking for advice and a solution. Thank you.

there could be a few reasons, but the headlights go through the ignition switch, so if you disconnected wires there is a chance that is the issue

Here are a few suggestions

download the FSM here (if you havent already)

https://cruiser54.com/

'95 FSM is correct for '96 headlights

You may have a system modified by an aftermarket harness (with relays) which is common and sensible, so check for the presence of that

The A5 size '96 Handbook has the fuse locations for a '96. The 95 FSM gives guidance and has the circuit diagram

If in doubt, place a test light on every fuse end

search this forum, someone has posted a site that had a pdf download for the '96 FSM

You must have the FSM to work on these vehicles electrics.

Download the 94-96 Parts Manual while you are at it

I checked the FSM and it said fuse 15, which is under the dash

a mirror and light is the best way to see and check them

'96 has changing fuse numbers, check them all
