Default No heat in 2001 Cherokee

Am I missing something.

I changed the t-stat and didn't see anything plugged or unusual. I ran a garden hose through the heater core and it flowed freely. I put the upper heater core hose on and started the truck. The water barely was pumping to the core. I can't feel much pressure in any hose. The water pump isn't leaking or making any bearing noises.

I'm not very familiar with 01's but do you have a valve like this?

Auto zone stock replacement. Temp runs around 190ish, installed correctly, heat is on. Heat will be warmer when I first turn it on then it cools off. I did not bleed the air.

Try burping the air out of the system.

Engine is up to temp and the water wants to slowly push out of the radiator fill. Instead of being sucked into the engine it is slowly overflowing out of the radiator. Only when it gets up to temp. I've gotten bad t-stats before.

I got a new cap last week and pressure tested the radiator to 17lbs, it was fine, but the cap would'nt hold any pressure.

The radiator held pressure, but the water pushed past the cap. I put a new cap on and it didn't push past it. But with out the cap on I can watch the water heat up and start overflowing the radiator. I am thinking I put a bad t'stat in. I am going to try that first.
