Thanks, is it common to have the water pump fins rot off. I've never had it happen but I think that might be the problem.

I have a personal story about "Headgasket Repair In A Can" product. I bought a 4-banger Mustang years ago for $25 that had a blown head gasket. I replaced the headgasket but it still leaked out the tailpipe. Might have been a warped or cracked head/block, don't know. I wasn't goin to put any more $$ into it. So I used the headgasket repair in a can and followed the directions to a T. My brother and I joked about it. To our amazement, it worked. We beat the car to heck thinking it would only last a little while, then eventually I fixed some of the other problems with the car, then a few more after a couple weeks. I ended up driving it for about a year. Every other month, sometimes once in 3 months, it would give out and I'd have to give it another treatment. Eventually it would go longer. I eventually gave the car to my brother. He drove it for 3 years and eventually sold it to a buddy for $300. Normally when I have a bad headgasekt I replace it but on this car that was our experience with the liquid sealant.

Your exhaust will leak a litlte water. It doesnt mean the head gasket is gone. The other day I had a 99 Grand cherokee come in the shop for no heat, Found the heater and radiator hoses rotting from the in side and flaking off and plugging the heater core. Even blowing with shop air and water with cleaner it flowed really good. Hook the hoses back up and still no heat. So I back fushed it and flushed it some more. Little by little it finaly was able to get some heat out of it. Changed hoses and flushed the block and is working great. Just for thought.

Thanks, I am going to flush the engine and core today. I will let you know what happens. I am going to run "head gasket in a can" through it also.

if your talking bout that prestone garbage say goodnight to the heater core and inside of the radiator. I think if you had a bad head gasket you would have frothy oil or overheating problems. My 94xj has all kinds off water coming out of the exhaust no troubles though. Do you have operation of the vacuum valve that goes to the heater core? You will find it at the heater hoses for a tester try and bypass it.
