Hey guys. Newbie from across the pond! Be gentle! I have an 1996 XJ 4.0L Limited.

Hopefully (im hoping!) You may be able to help with my '96 XJ. Had some light issues a while back (no exterior lights but indicators work) and i fitted a new mopar headlamp switch. This i thought sorted it as they worked fine but i think i just moved something instead as i suffered with the lights flickering on and off now and again.

Now the tail lights, parking lights, head lights, dash lights etc everything that the headlamp switch controls doesnt work. I have a copy of the 95 FSM but its not quite 100% the same as my UK spec XJ if theres any difference!

As far as i can work out with my diagrams, there should be a red/white common power wire into the switch which basically powers the system direct from the fuse in the power distribution box. I have 9.61v. If i power this up with a power probe, i can switch on the parking lamps with the headlamp switch but still no headlamps (dipped beam or mainbeam, IGN is on) I have powered up the front lights further down the system so i know everything works that end. Im sure the problems before the switch as i can use the switch (except dipped/mainbeam) if i power it up manually. Ive identified and cleaned/checked the systems earths except G201 which is located below the headlamp switch but so far cant find it. The wiring harness under the airbox is fine, no corrosion there.

Cant work out this out as A i dont have the right wiring info and B im not exactly clued up on electrical fault finding.
