No power to headlights
I just bought a 2000 xj sport. The issue I am having now is that the headlights wont turn on and no power is getting to the plugs, but the running lights work fine. Any help on how to repair this problem would be great

If you're sure there's no power to the sockets, I would guess headlight switch. They have a tendency to burn up if you don't upgrade to a relay harness.
Whether that ends up being the culprit or not, spend the $21 on a headlight relay harness to prevent the switch from burning up (again).

Check for voltage into the switch. If it's there, check for it coming out of the switch contacts in the various positions of the switch.
Most people seem to use Putco.

I put a link in my post above, but here it is again:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/CERAMIC-H4-H...-/330997592807
I haven't used that one personally, but it comes highly recommended, it's cheaper than the Putco, and it doesn't appear to have the same problems with failing relays that the Putco has.
Raffi at K Suspension also makes one that's a few dollars more expensive that people seem to really like, plus he has a reputation for good customer support if you have questions or need help:

Personally, I'm using an ARB harness, but it's about $125. It's a really well-made, bulletproof harness that uses three relays instead of two, but it's nowhere near $100 better than the ones linked above. I got mine at a significant discount from someone who paid full price for it but never installed it.
