No rear speakers or trunk light

No rear speakers or trunk light
So I replaced the speakers in the rear, swapped the harness that leads to the speakers (old one was destroyed by a mouse nest) and the new one is in really good condition. It worked for about a month then one morning they just didn’t work. I used a volt meter and I’m getting about 2.5v on 3 different prongs within the plug that runs to the new harness. One has 12v but I believe it’s the dome light.
