I used water a long time ago the last time I remember was on a 64 Impala SS in 1975, it did its job. But since I learned about Seafoam it has been my first choice.

In fact it was one of the first things I did to my XJ after I bought it along with a can of injector cleaner in the first fill-up of the fuel tank. I always looked at it one way what can it possibly hurt.

LOL..Yeah and just changed my oil..and put in some baby seal oil, and a liitle bit of whale oil in my dif's.. And its not like I haven't seen the water trick, I just don't think its a good idea for ppl to run out and try doing the water trick when they don't know what they are really doing. I can see some ppl out there saying "they said in CF to pore water into your intake, that will fix everything". Then come here and start asking whats wrong with my jeep.

No smoke out the exhaust means u didn't introduce enough Sea Foam quick enough into the intake. It's the Sea Foam that smokes, not the carbon.

Have you ever seen a head/cylinder after a blown head gasket or cracked head and coolant got into the combustion chamber? Piston valves and spark plug just as clean as ever.

If your worried about people adding water the wrong way or too much at one time and ruining their engines, then you also shouldn't recommend seafoam down the intake, as too much of any liquid will cause engine damage......RR

According to the Sea Foam web site if introduced to the motor correctly, smoke will appear before u finish pouring it in. That's the results I've gotten..........lots of smoke, like in the pic. Smoke thick enough to cut with a chain saw.

No different than any other advice given here.

And if they can't read instructions and follow them, or watch a frickin video and do it properly, they get what they deserve I guess.

People like them are the reason my high power heat gun has a label saying "Do not use to dry hair".

Tell it to Boeing, too. It was used for a time on the 747SP. Poor man's afterburner, with zero pollution.
