As for your thread, already replaced CPS Sensor a.k.a. (Crank Position Sensor) before I replaced ECM and it still didn't help. It was the computer (ECM) the whole time

Everything's Good
Ok a little update to close this thread
Replaced ECM now everything runs (better than before might I add)
As for the brake problem replaced rotors, calipers, master cylinder, and booster, all out of a '95 Cherokee. Pull-a-part is a wonderful place everything replaced including price of ECM was less than $140.
Everything works now, so I am ready for the snow and good thing too, we are getting pounded with 6-12" over today and tomarrow.
Thanks for the help everyone!

Sorry to reopen an old thread but I'm having the same problem. I have no cel when keyed on and I'm having a no start. The jeep just cranks. Now has anyone ever had a problem with a cps causing a cel not to come on at all? Even on key on when it does a light check.

I have fuel at the rail and can hear the fuel pump turn on. Pretty sure I have no spark. The thing that's worrying me is the no cel at key on which makes me believe it could be a faulty pcm. Because some times when I let the jeep sit for a day or 2 it has trouble starting but most the time I could get it to start.

i gotta disagree. the fuel pump will prime regardless of spark. and if you have a bad coil for example, you will still have fuel pressure. and at first it did sound like a cps untill you said the pump didn't prime. i'm assuming you checked all the fuses. if no lights light up for the bulb check with the key on for the first few seconds thats a sign of an ignition switch. do you get any of the bulbs for the first few seconds? if not, i'd say switch most likely.
when the switch goes out, its not even switching any signals to the ecm or anything so no spark, fuel prime or pump, no pulse, and it will still crank, thats a seperate part of the switch that rarely goes bad.
